Ja Ja Ja Takeovers

In a normal year of operation, the Ja Ja Ja live platform would present around 40 new and emerging Nordic artists to audiences in the UK, Germany and Austria. In 2020, we managed to produce one show in London in February - with Yung (DK), Detalji (FI) and Red Moon (NO), but unfortunately had to cancel our remaining plotted shows due to the COVID pandemic.

While we’ve all been locked up at home, we wanted to make sure that international audiences and industry would still be able to access the latest new music and artists from the Nordics, so I instigated the ‘Ja Ja Ja Takeover’ series - where we’d publish an interview from an artist and invite them to take over our Instagram account for the day of their feature.

Since launching the series in April 2020, we’ve presented over 50 Nordic artists - from Emilie Nicolas, Mapei and Jesse Markin to Augustine, BATHSHEBA, Joipé x Króli and LISS. Head to the Ja Ja Ja website to find out more…
