Conference Coordinator: The Great Escape Festival 2024
I’m freshly back from Brighton beach, and taking a few minutes to reflect on the massive production that was The Great Escape Festival 2024!
Since the turn of the year, i’ve been working as the Conference Coordinator for The Great Escape, where I hoped to create loud and engaging conversations around the inner workings of the music industry, as well as highlighting the stories, innovation, challenges and developments that are both supporting and confronting artists and their teams at the moment.
Over 100 speakers from all manner of sectors and backgrounds joined us in Brighton, from politicians through to performers, sharing so many perspectives and so much experience with the conference delegates.
I’m extremely proud of the programme that was delivered alongside our brilliant collaborators from AIM, the Council of Music Makers, the Night Time Industries Association, BBC Introducing and Youth Music.
This year wasn’t without its challenges, so I’d love to take a moment to express a huge amount of gratitude to the incredible TGE team for being such a supportive, talented and hard-working crew, and for bringing me into the family this year. And of course, a huge thank you to the speakers and all of the artists that joined us.
Looking forward to doing it again in 2025 - super early bird delegate passes are on sale now! And in the meantime, i’ll be turning my attention back to my consultancy company, Bad Rituals - so please have a look at my website to find out more, and feel very welcome to get in touch if you’d like to have a chat about working together in the coming months.
