Keychange Interview on BBC Radio 6 Music
To further mark the occasion of having reached 500+ signatories of the Keychange Pledge, I was invited to take part in a conversation with BBC Radio 6 Music’s Georgie Rogers around the project, its ambitions, progress and next steps.
As the Keychange Pledge Coordinator, I spoke about the journey of Keychange so far and the importance of engaging the whole of the music industry in a conversation about inclusivity and representation - followed by comments from phenomenal artist and former Keychange participant Poppy Ajudha, who discussed difficulties experienced throughout her career as a result of her gender, as well as the positive impact that Keychange can have on women and their careers.
The discussion was aired today Monday 5th July, as part of Huw Stephens’ show (sitting in for Shaun Keaveny) and will be available to hear for the rest of the month via BBC Sounds - time stamp for tuning in is 14.40 - 14.50.
Massive thanks to Georgie for having us, and creating so much space for us to discuss Keychange on 6 Music!
